Meals
Our meals are carefully crafted to provide a balanced and nutritious option for our customers. Each meal is designed to meet one third of the Recommended Dietary Guidelines for Americans, ensuring that they provide a solid foundation for a healthy diet. In addition, our meals adhere to federal meal pattern requirements to guarantee that they meet the necessary nutritional standards.
To maintain the quality and safety of our meals, they are packed into insulated bags and coolers during delivery. This not only ensures that the meals stay at the proper temperature, but also guarantees that they remain fresh and safe to consume upon arrival.
Our meals consist of a variety of components to offer a well-rounded and satisfying dining experience. Each meal typically includes a main meat entrée, a selection of vegetables, a serving of fruit, a side of potatoes or pasta, and a carton of 2% milk. This combination of food groups provides a complete and balanced meal that is both wholesome and delicious.
Every meal is only $5 and can save a senior's life. Meals are provided to our clients free of charge. Some seniors wish to give a donation to help pay for their service, but is completely voluntary and not required. Meals on Wheels Spokane is a donation only service and is paid for by donors like you. To donate and pay for a meal is as easy as clicking the donate button.
